A hunger artist

1. The Hunger Artist's motivation was the fact that he likes to fast and it was an art to him. Fasting came easy to him. He also wanted people to appreciate and admire his weird form of "art". Towards the end of the story he said "I always wanted you to admire my fasting."
2. People grow indifferent because trends only last for a certain amount of time. and when that trend is over people move on to the next thing
3. The Hunger Artist was replaced by a panther, symbolizing the energy and happiness that the hunger artist didn't have.
4. I think Kafka is telling us that life's trends only last for a short period, and one day you could wake up and your not the center of attention anymore
5. I liked A Hunger Artist. I think his commitment and admiration for his own art makes his art similar to other's.

1. When the witches say "Fair is foul, and foul is fair.", they are saying that there is no order in the country. And they are foretelling, that in the end of the story, there is not a big difference between good and bad.
2.  The three witches agree to meet at a "heath", which is a dry barren place. It says, "That will be ere the set of sun.", which shows that it is before sunset, most likely in the afternoon, when the sun is at its highest and hottest. The witches also speak of meeting in "thunder, lightning, or in rain" which says the setting they want to meet in. It seems these witches want to meet in a dry desolate area, that is full of fog, and rain, and other unfavorable characteristics. This g=horrible setting with which they meet Macbeth in, forewarns the bad situation that he gets into later in the play because of them.
3. a) Thunder and lightning will go off. The stage will go dark after a flash of bright lightning. Then suddenly in another flash of lightning, the witches will be seen slowly entering the stage from the back.
b) The witches have hunch backs, so their steps are small and strained, as if it's really difficult for them to take these steps. They will move slow and steady, and kind of hobble up to the cauldron.
c) Their faces are old and wrinkled, turned grey from the years. Their skin will be kind of falling off their faces in wrinkles, from all the years. Their eyes will be squinted and barely open, and from what can be seen of their eyes, will be glossed over from blindness.
d) There will be one skinny witch, on fat witch, and one witch that looks in the middle. The youngest, smallest witch will be the daughter of the next oldest and largest witch, who is the daughter os the other. They are a grandmother, daughter, and granddaughter. The youngest is 200 years old, so the others will be older still.
e)They are dressed in all black robes. One of them is carrying a black cat, and on of the others is carrying a dead crow.
f) As each of the speak, they do dances that correspond to their speech.
g) There will be the sound of thunder constantly in the background. As well as the sound of dripping water from the surrounding area, drenched from the storm. There will also be the sounds of crows in the surrounding area, and flapping wings.
h) The background will be in the dark woods, so there are a lot of trees all around them. Shining through the trees will be the light of a full moon, that peaks through the storm clouds.

technology

my first experience with technology would most likely be video games, whether its on a video game council or a computer. My blogger set up today was easy. A lot of people had problems setting it up but for some reason it worked right off the bat for me. I think technology is a good tool to get students engaged in their education. I also think technology is a good tool to help those who are visual learners and those who have to use their hands to retain information. I think things like Blogger is the future in education. I was watching T.V. yesterday and there was a commercial about a high school that was 100% online. I think online education provides some things that you can't get in a class room. Things like blogger gives students freedom for creative expression. Technology is a good tool in education. I think we're witnessing the future in education.
